Every young person deserves the opportunity to develop the skills needed to engage in lifelong physical activity. The development of motivation, confidence, and competence are key to developing autonomous young exercisers and successful sports performers. Age appropriate strength training, motor learning tasks, games, challenges and exploration can positively impact children and young athlete’s future, preparing them to become effective navigators of their ever-changing environments.
